This Privacy Policy explains how Inmassat Global Network Company (“Inmassat”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Inmassat Mail Android application (the “App”) to access your @inmassat.com email account. By using the App you agree to this policy.

1. Who this is for

Inmassat Mail is a private email client for users who have been issued an @inmassat.com mailbox by Inmassat Global Network Company. It is not a public email-account sign-up service.

2. Information we collect

We only collect information needed to provide your mailbox:

• Account & profile information — your email address, password (stored only as a salted cryptographic hash, never in plain text), display name, optional recovery email address, and optional signature.
• Email content — the messages you send and receive, including subjects, recipients (To, Cc, Bcc), body text, and file attachments. This is stored so your mailbox is available across sessions and devices.
• Technical & session data — a session identifier used to keep you signed in, and, for security and abuse-prevention, your IP address and device/browser (user-agent) information associated with a sign-in session.

The App does not collect your location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers for advertising, and it contains no third-party advertising or analytics tracking SDKs.

3. How we use your information

• To authenticate you and keep you securely signed in.
• To send, receive, store, search, and organize your email and attachments.
• To send password-reset instructions when you request them.
• To protect the service against unauthorized access and abuse.

We do not sell your personal information or email content, and we do not use the content of your emails for advertising.

4. Permissions the App uses

• Internet / network access — to communicate securely with the Inmassat Mail server.
• File selection — when you choose to attach a file, the App accesses only the file you explicitly select. It does not scan your device storage.

5. Service providers

We share information only with providers that help operate the service, under appropriate safeguards:

• Email delivery provider (Brevo) — used to send and receive email on behalf of your mailbox.
• Hosting provider — our servers and database, which store your mailbox data, are hosted on managed infrastructure.

These providers process data only to deliver the service and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

6. Data storage & security

• All communication between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
• Passwords are stored only as bcrypt hashes.
• Access to mailbox data is restricted to the authenticated account owner and authorized administrators.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

7. Data retention

Your messages remain stored until you delete them. Deleted messages are moved to Trash and are permanently removed when you delete them from Trash. If your account is closed, associated data is deleted within a reasonable period, subject to any legal retention obligations.

8. Your rights

You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and you may request closure of your account, by contacting us at the address below. Administrators of your organization may also manage your account.

9. Children

Inmassat Mail is intended for business/organizational use and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. International users

Your data may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. By using the App you consent to such processing in accordance with this policy.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
